sombody stop me!

I experimented with muffins tonight. I'm not sure they turned out quite the way I expected them to, but they're edible so I guess that's something.

My mission to purchase a char-grey turtleneck jumper like the black one I bought a couple of months ago from the Country Road pre-sale sale was a complete success. At first I thought I was going to fail, because while they had plenty of charcoal turtlenecks, they didn't seem to have any in the style or size I was after. But finally I found one lonely little medium amongst a slew of extra smalls and extra larges and I knew it was meant to be. Plus, with the discount on the sale price it was practically half price!

Okay, someone please stop me because now I must have these:

I'm insane, I really am, and yet the shoes are calling me...

Good grief, when did it suddenly become almost 11.30pm?

At least I finally folded my laundry tonight. Only took me *coff* weeks days.

*sheepish*

Huh... this one looks pretty similar to one of the pair you just posted earlier.

And OMG, Myer stocktake sale is BAD FOR MY BANK ACCOUNT! I just bought 2 barets, a scarf, a 16 piece dining set, and 2 mugs. I HAVE NO MONEY!! I SHOULDN'T BE SHOPPING!

BTW, you have any idea what sort of top would go with a black and white long kilt/skirt? I got it in Scotland, but have no idea what to wear with it, and you're the more fashionable person on my flist. ;) I had been planning on taking a picture of it and putting it up on LJ and asking everyone's idea, but I haven't gotten around to do it.

I'm not going anywhere near Myers at the moment. I just know if would mean certain death for my credit card if I did.

Since a kilt is a statement in and of its self, I'd probably go with something fairly plain in black or red. Maybe a round-neck fine knit, or something with a v-neck for warmer weather. What sort of shoes would you be wearing with it?

Oh, red, I haven't thought of that. Hmm... knit wear, I'll have to rummage through my closet and have a look but I don't think I have any in black or red.

Black rather plain ankle boots with about a 1.5inch to 2 inch heels if I remember correctly. Haven't worn that in forever.

You could also go for a nice scoop-neck top, but nothing too fancy because kilts are fancy enough as it is. depends on the top and how many layers you want to wear. Best Work Friend has a great kilt that she wears with her black turtleneck jumper and her Mary Jane's. Very cute!

You never know when you might need a shiny patent court shoe. I could do with some myself, since it's interview season again. And some posh clothes to go with.

That's what I think. And since I sent my last pair of courts to the charity bin I have to have something to wear in their place :~)
