wannabedolphin - has very curly, frizzy hair, and has in the past suffered from hairdressers who cut it to a sensible length when it was wet only to find that it curled all over her scalp like a little lamb once it dried.

Ew! to blood tests, but I hope they don't turn up any bad things. Ditto ECG, which is something I've never had. I'm on the list for a mammogram, though, and on Monday I should be - wait for it! - getting my ears syringed. (a) EWWWWW! and (b) no! This is something that only old people have! Oh, wait ...

I hope you were long enough at the party to have fun, at least.

And of course you looked fabulous. I've seen photos, and I don't believe you could look any other way.

I've had my ears syringed, while I was in my twenties. It's not that bad. Weird, but not bad and you'll be amazed at how well you'll hear after they've cleaned out all the gunk!

I've been needing to have my ears syringed annually for a few years now. I hate having it done - it's not painful or horrid or anything, just weird - but the results are fantastic.

This is reassuring. I've been using eardrops, as recommended by the doctor, and now I am SO DEAF. In both ears! There was nothing wrong with the right one before!!

Sometimes the water doesn't clear immediately, so for a few hours it may all seem worse, but when it does clear it's like everything comes into focus and you realise what you've been missing.
