To all the mothers on my flist, you have my deepest and most profound respect. I have just spent the day babysitting four children aged between one and five and I cannot believe how shattered I am. How you do this day in day out is beyond my ken and for that I applaud you.

*bows down to your superiority*

Well, mothers build up to it, one baby at a time. It's like gym training.

Well done for surviving!

I'm currently polishing off the bottle of wine mum had on her kitchen bench. I figured I deserved a drink after today!

That's the other thing mothers do. There's a reason gin is known as Mother's Ruin.

I applaud you for actually minding four children under five all at once! It's not something I could do, and stay sane, even though I have two kids and work with autistic children. *takes off hat to you*

How my mother coped staying at home all day with the three us is beyond me. I'm betting her relief was palpable when I finally went off to kinder.

They have such short attention spans! >.<

Sometimes they don't. They remember stuff like you wouldn't believe and then you have to stand there and justify yourself to a five year-old. It's so embarrassing!

There **is** a reason for the 7 years between my boys...
Four children under age 5, for an entire day, *ALONE*... would land me in the psyche ward!

**pets you for making it through such a thing**

The kids were actually pretty good, especially the two year-old who had a three hour nap in the afternoon. Wish her one year-old sister had done the same :~\
