I'm drinking red wine because I hardly slept at all last night due to the heat. I'm hoping that Merlot will help nature along a little and if it doesn't, it will help me not care that much.
I'm also watching Cabaret on DVD and I can help thinking that, despite Liza Minnelli's tremendous talent and the fact that she was born to play Sally Bowles, if the movie was being cast today the studio would probably opt for a thinner, more conventionally pretty actress who would appeal to the masses. Either that or they'd tell Liza to lose fifteen kilos and make her get a nose job before they'd even consider her for the role.
*shakes head sadly*
Merlot is also helping with the fact that yesterday I went to gym for the first time in three months. Stiff doesn't even begin to describe me.
Ah, the cool change has come through.
*basks in the cool breeze*
I have been watching Flashpoint. I approve. Especially of Hugh Dillon. Partially of Enrico Colantoni, but mostly of Hugh.
There is a decided lack of Winchester's on my TV screen at the moment. I need my Sam'n'Dean and I need them NOW!
*pouts*
And of course I had to spill red wine on my carpet...
*sponge, don't scrub, sponge, don't scrub...*

And of course, then there is Michael York being all gay. I have been in love with him for many decades. Yup. I love that movie (though I have a hard time watching it; makes me cry every time.)
(Not that you care, but: the last line of the play I am a Camera, on which Cabaret was based, is my favorite line in any play ever)
