oh god, hot!

It is 8.30pm and currently 40C in Melbourne. Tomorrow it is expected to get to 43C and stay in the mid-30s to low 40s well into next week.

I'm going back to Brisbane. It's way cooler there at the moment...

ETA: I don't care what anyone says about an appropriate dress code for manager-type people. I'm wearing a sundress to work tomorrow. Just you try and stop me!

I can't remember it ever being that hot so late in the day here. Ugh.

According to The Australian website it's 42.4 in Adelaide right now, at what, 8pm.

I went to gym after work tonight cos I'd rather be hot and sweaty there with air con than hot and sweaty at home with none. I almost asked them if I could have a sleepover in the stretching area tonight :~|

UGH. Sweetie, any and ALL dress codes should be suspended for heat like that. I think it would even be appropriate for you to go in a bikini if you felt so inclined!

I was talking to my sis a couple days ago and her air conditioning unit is broken... I dont think I could handle that crazy heat even with air conditioning! Blargh.

There's been big power blackouts around Melbourne because of the high demand for electricity from all the air conditioners. And the train tracks melted! OMG!!!

I did see some very sweet frocks around work today. If i was feeling up to it I'd jump on the sewing machine and run up a new one for tomorrow, but at the moment it's way too much like hard work.
