Hey, I don't suppose anyone can help a girl out with a Dreamwidth invite code? I'm kinda curious as to what's going on and wouldn't mind checking things out.

I don't have any invite codes or even an account there, but I just signed up for open id and it lets you poke around and add people to your reading list, comment and even have user pics. I think you just can't post entries.

I signed on to a reading/update list for it yesterday (I've been watching/on the mailing lists for a while, mind you), and today I received an invite code. (I'm importing stuff from my LJ as I speak, and when I say 'I', I mean 'their magic internet machine is doing it for me'.) I don't have any codes of my own yet, but if I get any - I suspect they won't go out until the site's out of beta, but I may be wrong - you'll be first on my list if you haven't already got one by then.

Or you can, as below, just sign on with Open ID - I was doing that for a while, too.

Definitely sign up for an Open ID account, if you haven't already. They're randomly giving Open ID users invite codes on a regular basis.

Chiming in with everyone else to say that OpenID gives you a lot of functionality, and is def. worth using.
