This has happened to me, too. Icons disappear and then come back. And if I look at old entries and comments, the icons I used have been replaced by my default icon.

ETA: Heh, the icon I chose for this comment is missing! And my journal banner is not loading either. Must be a server problem.

Not to worry; they're doing maintenance on some stuff that is involved in image processing. Should be back to normal shortly. (Per [livejournal.com profile] lj_maintenance, if I remember correctly.)

They're all back now, thank god. But for a minute there I was worried that I'd forgotten to renew my account and they'd taken away all my extra spaces, even though I was looking at the payment on my credit card statement the night before!
