You know how sometimes you want to avoid all your married and/or partnered-up friends because you're sorely feeling your singleton status? Yeah, well, welcome to my world.

*pets you*

Awwwwwww. I was feeling like htat a few weeks ago, but after having my cousin, her husband and her two year old stay with us, it's made me so thankful to be single. So thankful.

Which I guess is a way of saying, this too shall pass.

Kinda like me freaking out whenever I find old friends on FB and they have their status listed as married or something like that, and some even come with babies...

I think of them as my miserable, soon-to-be-divorced friends, or just as 'those people who have no personal freedom or independence'. Actually, most of them won't get divorced, they'll just go on in the same old rut, hating one another's guts and bitching behind each other's backs, forever and ever.

I may be a wee bitty bit too cynical.

On the other hand, if you could hear my young colleague ShetlandGirl banging on and on about her sodding wedding to someone she met two months ago because at 28 she is that desperate, you might be cynical too.

Also: *hugs*

/o\ *hugs*

(ETA: also, most of my friends are single, for which I am grateful or I would feel exactly the same way.)

Yeah, I know what you mean.

Although, I'm divorced. Can I still claim singleton status? I think I prefer it to divorcee.
