Meh, the power cord on my laptop has died so I am essentially computer-less at home. However the longer I'm offline, the less I seem to care about rectifying the situation. I've been trying to cut down on the amount of time I waste on the intertubes outside of work anyway, and this enforced abstinence has been rather therapeutic. Instead I've been experimenting in the kitchen, doing a spot of knitting, watching the DVDs I got for my birthday and for once I'm all caught up on the housework. I'm even contemplating cancelling my internet account and seeing if I can live without it on a permanent basis.
At this point in time, the only real reason for me to get the laptop up and running again is so I can extract my photos and save my CV and some of my hard-to-find music to my USB key. Other than that I'm quite happy for it to just sit there and gather dust in it's carry case.
Hmmmm...
