They Say What They Say

We may have had a small breakthrough with the whole mother situation. My sister just got a call from one of the retirement villages mum stayed in last year. Apparently one of their self-contained suites - the one that's like a bed-sit with a private kitchenette and en-suite - has become available and they've offered it to us. N is going to talk it over with mum and will have a look at it on Friday.

God I hope mum agrees to consider it. It would solve so many problems for us. We wouldn't have to fret and worry about her being in that great big house on her own and she'd still retain a large degree of independence because she's have her own sitting room, she could cook her owns meals and she'd only have to venture out into the common areas when she wants a bit of company.
