OMG, after fourteen years of living in Alphington I am moving to Yarraville!
And you would be surprised at how much stuff you can cram into a one bedroom flat with very little storage. I certainly have been as the boxes pile higher and higher and I realise that I'm only two thirds packed. Mind you most of the boxes contain books and since I'm trying to save the moving man's back, they're fairly small boxes so by necessity there's a lot of them.
My new house is lovely, though, double-fronted Victorian cottage with three bedrooms, two living areas, a small garden that's just enough to keep me occupied, a lime tree in the backyard and it's only meters away from the shops and train station. I'm sharing with Helen, who I went to New York with, and while it's been a looong time since I've lived with anyone, I'm kind of looking forward to it. I also need to buy a wardrobe because most the houses of its era it doesn't have built-ins and both Helen and I have a LOT or stuff. Thank god for the spare room, that's all I say!

Moving is exhausting, but the new place sounds lovely. Enjoy!

Yes, moving is exhausting, and I have no idea why I am doing it, aside from the fact that I'm sick of living in a shabby, one bedroom flat that the owner never maintains. I can grow herbs again, woot!

That does sound lovely! \lime tree/
