Last night, in a burst of domestic enthusiasm, I ironed all my summer skirts. Now this may not seem so unusual to you unless you take into account the fact that a) I hate ironing and only do it when I'm forced to, and b) I own about twenty summer skirts. Yeah, I know, I'm a total girl. And very, very lazy when it comes to ironing.

I am wearing flannel pyjamas and have just put a woolen blanket on my bed. I also have the heater on in the living room. A week ago I was sitting on the couch in summer PJs with the window wide open and wondering how I would sleep in the heat. This, my flist, is autumn in Melbourne; Indian summer one day and damn cold the next.

Gah, I've just gotten caught up in this epic, J2 AU WIP. What is going on? I never do WIPs because I've been burned too many times before. And yet here I am, setting my LJ notifications to alert me when a new installment is posted and trying to get through the 30+ chapters as quickly as I can before I get too far behind...

I have lovely long fingernails at the moment. The longest they've been in eons. I usually trim them back but I have a wedding to go to on the weekend so I thought I'd keep them going for a little while longer and get a proper manicure on Saturday. What do you bet that the first thing I do tomorrow is break a nail?
