Friday at last, thank god, and for once with very little planned for the weekend. I'm meeting O for breakfast tomorrow morning, but that pretty much it as far a social activities go. The rest of my time will be spent giving my flat a damn good spring clean. And maybe some cooking, although that tends to happen most weekends anyway.

Today I got totally turned around because i thought there'd be a new episode of Supernatural. But turns out it was a repeat last night and I have to wait until next week. That's actually okay because I haven't watched last week's episode yet. I'll get to that on the weekend as well. Yes, I fail at being a fangirl. At least this week I do.

Okay, so while I was writing this entry my computer suddenly presented me wit the blue screen of death which is, a) somewhat alarming and b) pretty freaking annoying! I know my laptop is getting on, but could it at least hold out until next year when I planned to buy a new one anyway?

*crosses fingers*

Okay, I'm logging off and going to bed, just to be on the safe side.

So, this evening while I was trying to do some homework, check my email and fold laundry (see me multi-task!) my pooter suddenly gave me the blue screen o' death, OH NOES!!!!

*big sad eyes*

Anyway, after some faffing around and a couple of restarts I sort of worked out that it was having a slight conniption over the latest windoze update, but it's also prompted me to have a bit of a tidy up. So I've deleted some stories in the 'To Read' folder that I haven't gotten around to reading after three or more months, gotten rid of all the random photos of cute boys that can be found anywhere in the interwebs, trashed some videos files that had been sitting unwatched for ages and ran a disk cleanup and a defrag. It seems to have helped a little, but I'm really starting to think that the time for a new computer is nigh. This one has served me well, but it's five years old now and starting to act its age. And I should take advantage of my ability to salary sacrifice a new computer while I'm still at UM, cos who knows what will happen next year when I start looking around for the next opportunity. For all I know I could end up in Tunisia!

Only four days to go before I'm on holiday for two weeks and tonight I got a head start on Christmas by making Nigella Lawson's rhubarb fruit mince. OMG, it's so yummy!! I'd eat the whole lot right this minute if it weren't for the fact that a) that much sticky sweetness would make me very very ill, and b) there'd be no fruit mince tarts for Christmas, WOE!

I was going to vacuum my carpet tonight. It appears that I didn't get around to it. Oh well.
