So, part of my taking a vacation from my life involves doing as little cooking as possible, which means I had pizza for dinner on Monday night and fish and chips tonight. But now I'm all OMG, so full! because yummy yummy chips that I had to eat all of.

*groans and clutches at stomach*

I just found the prettiest vintage frock on eBay. I'd totally bid on it if it were a size or two larger. As it is I can only think wishfully about pretty summer dresses worn with black accessories; gloves, patent leather shoes and handbag and a picture hat of shiny black straw. Yeah, I'm such a girl.

Work was insanely busy today and it's going to be much the same tomorrow because two of my staff are on leave. However, as I am currently carrying around a huge amount of flex time and my new boss frowns upon such things, I am not going into the office until at least 11am. Instead I will sleep in, have a leisurely breakfast at home, take my time getting dressed and then catch the 10.15 bus that will get me to work by about 10.45 where I will grab a coffee and buy the news paper before facing the screaming hoards.

Sounds good to me.

I've watched so much Sex and the City over the past week, all I want to do is move to New York, wear fabulous shoes and outrageous clothes and snuggle up to Mr Big. I already have the curly hair, and my shoe collection is getting there, but I'm still working on the designer wardrobe and the funky Manhattan apartment with the huge walk-in robe is proving a little illusive...

Speaking of dreams, CKR turned up again last night. Something he's done quite frequently of late. I'm not sure what it all means. Actually I probably do, but I'm sure none of you really need to hear about my lack of a sex life.
