So, keyboard crisis averted. I had a flash of inspiration this morning and managed to figure out how to clip the key back on. Fortunately this now saves me from having to take my pooter to the pooter shop and explain that the key came off when I decided to try and clean out the accumulated fluff underneath.

[livejournal.com profile] scriggle has posted some glorious due South photos in her journal. And when I say glorious I mean Callum looks simply divine. Oh and Paul is there to.

I'm having my biannual house inspection by the real estate agency today. Ah the joys of being a renter. I cleaned the bathroom yesterday and have dusted my bedroom and the living room. I'll vacuum as soon as I get dressed, but I've decided not to go too far with the cleaning. Usually I knock myself out, but I've got so much homework to do I have neither the time or the inclination. As long as the place looks presentable, it'll do.

Well, that sucks. I was all set and ready for the house inspection at 2pm, only the agent guy failed to show. When it finally rolled around to 2.40 I decided to give him a call, and he'd pretty much forgotten about it. He's going to send me a letter to organise another time, but I'm not going to be as flexible with my time for the next little while until I settle into new!job and gauge how accepting new!boss is of me taking off whenever I feel like it.

Anyway, I just rang O and he's coming to Office Works with me at 3.30 so I can buy a new printer cartridge (note to self: don't waste all you printer ink printing out slash and other stuff that you just end up throwing into the recycling bin when you're done with it) and then we'll go and get coffee somewhere. Plus, I've written over 800 words of my essay and if I really put my mind to it (and get off LJ) I can probably make it to 1000 before I leave *g*

Yes, I'm being McSpammity today, but you know what it's like when you've got to write 4000 words on something you find boring.

I have my new printer cartridge, and found a fabulous recipe for chocolate slice in today's paper. And I had another Delia Smith moment today when I bought some steak at the supermarket, diced it and threw it into a casserole dish with an onion, a carrot, a potato, some mushrooms, a tin of crushed tomatoes, some tomato paste, a dash of water, a bay leaf and some basil and shoved it into a low oven for three hours. OMG, casserole!!

[livejournal.com profile] ds_recs has a great photo rec today. Every which Ray (heh!) you think of and some wonderful Fraser photos as well. Makes me want to break out my DVDs and start the series from the beginning again. Of course Kowalski (and, by extension, CKR) will always have my heart, but I do have a great amount of love for Vecchio and really do enjoy the first two seasons just as much as the third.

Speaking of which (even though we weren't) [livejournal.com profile] catwalksalone has written a wonderful series of linked drabbles based on Based on the Forbes Seven Rules of Office Romance: Love in the Time of Cubicles for the latest [livejournal.com profile] sn100 challenge. Go read them. You know you want to.

ETA: I'm now having a weird Sons and Daughters flashback with both Ally Fowler and Peter Phelps guest starring on All Saints tonight. Plus, Cameron Daddo on CSI?

Hi, me again!

*waves*

I keep finding stuff that I have to research online, but this will be my last post for the night. Promise, cross me heart. I'm tired and my printer just had a fit when I asked it to print out a couple of pages about AS ISO 15489 so I think it's time to call it a night.

My flat now looks like a bomb hit a paper factory. I have articles, recordkeeping standards, manuals and bits of paper everywhere. God knows how I'm going to organise it all when I have to do my bibliography. And the place was looking so neat this morning.

*sigh*

Tomorrow I'm cooking slice and writing more essay. Be prepared to be spammed! But now, I'm going to make some hot milk and brandy, go to bed and read Not Homophobic by Annie, just to spite the Australian government for being such asshats.
