Was LJ acting hinkey for anyone else yesterday? I couldn't get onto my flist for about three hours and whenever I tried it would freeze my entire browser and I'd have to shut down and start over again.

For those of you who sew, last night I had one of those dress disappointments that sewers get every so often. You know the one I mean, when you're making something and you're a little uncertain about it but you keep going anyway. Only when you get to the stage of trying it on for the first time and you just know that it's never going to look any good on you. That's what I mean.

You see, I'd started making this dress months ago - bought the fabric, cut it out and then stopped, and for ages I kept saying to myself, I must finish that dress! So last night I finally got around to putting it together and - just no. It was never going to work on me. It was too plunging, or too tight, or - I don't know, something. I gave up before I'd gone too far with it, but it's a little disappointing because I was hoping I'd be able to wear the dress to a cocktail party that I've been invited to later in the month.

Oh well, back to the drawing board I guess.

Um, I may have written a Sports Night comment snippet for [livejournal.com profile] phoebesmum. It involves towels and dancing. Nuf said.
