Conversation held over a glass of red with Best Work Friend (BWF) at lunch time:

BWF: ...I stayed home and watched trashy TV last. That Jennifer Love Hewitt show and then the Bionic Woman...
ME: [Pricks up ears] Bionic Woman? OMG, my favourite obscure Canadian actor was in last night's episode!
BWF: Who's that?
Me: Callum Keith Rennie. He played the bad guy.
BWF: He was really cute!
Me: *beams*
Mood:: 'chipper' chipper

I am so full from dinner I can hardly move. I probably should have had a second helping, but the pasta-tuna bake thingie that I made using the decent pecorino that I picked up at the little Italian grocery on the way home was just so yummy I couldn't help myself!

In two weeks time I will be an aunt again. At least that's the plan. And unlike last time there will be no sneaking around behind mum's back trying to disguise the fact that my sister is having a baby just because our mother (a former midwifery nurse) is too squeamish to contemplate one of her children giving birth. Anyway I'm heading up to the old home town tomorrow, then zooming back on Sunday to make bananananana cake for O because it's his birthday and he just adores bananananananana cake, as do we all.

God, so full...
