OMG, someone please take my ATM card away from me! I have spent so much money this weekend (including $200 on my hair!!!) that I think I'm going to be living off bread and water for the remainder of the week.
But before you ask, yes I did need those four t-shirts because they're the sort of basics I can wear all summer, and I really want to do something with the piece of fabric I have in my sewing box, and how could I resist the vintage Tupperware cake holder complete with carry handle? Yeah, I bought groceries as well, but, you know, they were kind of necessary. At least I didn't buy shoes.*
I'm now relaxing at home with a cocktail (a Moscow Mule, which is vodka, lime juice, ginger ale and ice; very refreshing!) eating salsa and corn thins and watching a travel show about Western Canada. Am feeling a little light-headed now, but I need to snap out of it so I can watch Igby Goes Down and make a skirt. Oh, and maybe do my dishes.
ETA: I've given up on the skirt before I even started. Because the fabric is vintage (read old) it's not as wide as today's standard dress fabrics and I don't have enough to make the pattern fit.
*grrr*
I think I need another drink.
*The boots I'm bidding for on eBay don't count. I was outbid so now they really doesn't count.

Have also spent much money today, but mine was all on Amazon and for other people. Do not understand how the amount of money I've spent meshes with the number of people I never see. Think in future I shall keep it all for me, me, ME!
... you did find out about the fabric before you started cutting? Can you use it for something else?

I haven't even begun to think about buying things for other people. I may just give them all money and send them out to do their own shopping.
The fabric was a piece I picked up at a thrift shop for $1.00. It's very pretty, but only 90cm wide, and the pattern needs at least 115cm wide fabric to fit. I have something else to make that pattern out of, I just have to find another one to fit the vintage stuff.

Btw, the epi of Seinfeld is the "I'm not gay, not that there's anyting wrong with that."

I think I'm doomed.
