would you all just get out of my way!
It's mum's birthday on Monday so I'm spending the weekend in the old home town, even though I didn't arrive until 3pm. It took me hours to get out of Melbourne, thanks to unusually heavy weekend traffic, road works and the fact that I didn't leave home until nearly midday. I swear I was this close to road rage today, thanks to all the idot drivers around. And stopping in Keilor to go to Spotlight didn't help matters either. However I've just put the finishing touches on the sponge roll with passionfruit cream and strawberries for her birthday cake, and the boned and stuffed chicken is in the fridge waiting to be cooked tomorrow. I also made meatloaf and salad for dinner and did two loads of laundry. Not bad for someone who was getting lost on their way home from Werribee at midnight last night.
It would seem that quite a few people on my flist are having a rough time of it at the moment. Therefore I am offering hugs all round and will happily smite anyone who makes you feel bad.
I've finally made a start on my SN sekrit santa fic. It's only a couple of hundred words at the moment, but I'm hoping for greater things this week.
Boned and deboned really do mean the same thing. However there's still no such word as sheveled, even though a person can be as disheveled as they like.
That's all, I think. Good night!

I'll tell you something else, anti-fungicidal paint would actually put mould on your walls. Dan Rydell was a mere amateur compared to the surveyors I used to work for. But a very pretty one.
I have some bits of SN Sekrit Santa scribbled on a pad - I wrote it on the bus on the way home from the interview on Tuesday. I hope I can still read it. There isn't much of this one either, but with luck it will grow when I type it up. Also, I am not at all sure what the wordcount is supposed to be. As long as I can squeeze out 1,000, I think it should be okay. And I have two other fics I owe people but have been too sad to write. Maybe when I get my anti-depressants I shall stop being depressed. That's what they're for, after all! And then all will be sunshine and kittens, work hassles, life hassles, crappy weather and fandom idiocy notwithstanding.
