laylee: (Need Coffee)

I had a bit of a day yesterday; a day that involved broken fingernails, fillings, falling off my bike, mad conspiracy theorists from Chile and health insurance funds that refused to pay out. However I balanced it all with my Tribute to Johnny Johanssen and very yummy baked mushrooms for dinner. Also, don't knock the healing power of a Cadbury's Creme Egg and a large iced coffee.

Today I also had a bit of a day, but I also managed to tinker with my Johnny post to make it more presentable, be fairly effective at a meeting and go to gym after work - the first time I've been since my week off last week. I also made a reasonable interesting concoction out of pumpkin, leek and garlic for dinner and organised early drinks and dinner for my birthday on Friday.

I wasn't going to do anything much for my birthday this year, but all of a sudden I have at least two weeks of birthday related activities coming up. It's mostly due to the fact that to catch up with everyone I want to see, I have to spread it out over several days rather than concentrating it all into one big get-together. Not that I have anything against an elongated birthday, but I really was hoping to keep it all fairly low-key after last year's shebang :~\

Oh yay, Terminator II is on TV this weekend!

I'm un-freaking-believably behind on comments right now, but I wanted to tell you that I love the Johhny Johanssen tribute.

I always seem to be behind on comments. I just have to accept it these days and move on. So don't think I'm not reading and appreciating you fic or anything, I just have so little time to do much else!

You scared me, I thought you meant your birthday was this Friday. But I shall have to buck up and get your pressie to the PO this weekend, just the same. One of the (many) things wrong with NuJob is that there is no way to get to a post office - unless, of course, you have a car - and the post room won't mail private stuff. Bastards.

I would ask about the Chilean conspiracy theorist, but that might scare me even more than your maths conundrum.

Oh, please don't ask about our 'speshul' client. He's been driving us all batty and I'm just glad that I think I've finally gotten rid of him. Having an official-sounding title is good for something, I've finally found!

Your Johnny post was much of the awesome, by the way, which I can't remember if I mentioned or not.

The conspiracy theorist from Chile sounds both worrying and amusing, but I'm just conjecturing.

...don't knock the healing power of a Cadbury's Creme Egg and a large iced coffee.

This sounds unfairly good at the moment.

It's been one of those weeks. If it weren't for creme eggs and coffee I'd have gone completely insane by now!
