They Say What They Say

I had a slight taste of what mothers go through today when I was baby sitting for my sister and I got so paranoid about the baby that I had to go and check that she was indeed alive. Twice! Really she was just sound asleep, but she was so still! You have no idea how relieved I was when I poked her in the stomach and she sighed.

My back is feeling much better. Bending over is still a bit of an issue, and I can't pick up the nephew at the moment (or indeed ever again he's getting that big!) but at least I can move around relatively easily today. I even made it to the old home town without having to stop, except for the unfortunate coffee incident around Sydnam. That required a detour to Bi-Lo and the purchase of some paper towels, and of course I also needed the chocolate and DVD that I bought at the same time.

My assignment is nearly done, so once I've got that out of the way I can get on with the far more important business of writing fanfic. I did some very vital research this morning by watching six episodes of Sports Night, and I plan to continue my investigations when I get home tomorrow night. I am nothing if not thorough.
