sn100 Challenge #149: Want
A drabble and a half, really. Natalie gen. Title taken from the Sex and the City episode of the same name.
"Oh, I wants them!" Natalie exclaimed, gazing at the red suede beauties adorning Macy's display window.
She turned to Dan for his expected approval and was almost shocked when he disagreed.
"No, I don't think so, Nat."
"Says you," Natalie said as she grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the entrance.
But when she had them on and was prancing back and forth in front of the mirror, Natalie had to reluctantly agree. There was something about them - something about the ankle strap, maybe - that wasn't quite right.
"I'm sorry, Nat," Dan said sympathetically as she plonked down next to him with a defeated sigh. "There'll be other shoes."
"Not as beautiful as these," she was about to say when something caught her eye.
"Oh, I wants them!"
