I am so very, very cold. All of a sudden winter is upon us after weeks of Indian summer and today was freezing. And it didn't help that it started raining while I was at gym and I had to ride my bike home in it.

Note to self: go to the bike shop tomorrow and buy some decent winter cycling gloves. Those craptastic polar fleece ones you bought at K-Mart wouldn't keep a gnat warm.

Jack and Ianto continue to occupy my mind to a great extent, however my other fandoms are still very much around, bringing news and other such joyful odds 'n' ends.

Firstly, there's the rumour about a propsed 10th annniversary DVD edition of Sports Night complete with the extras that are so sorely missing from the initial DVD release. If this does happen, lets hope the laugh track is the one thing they do leave out.

Secondly, Callum talks about the forthcoming season of Battlestar Galactica and is generally cute and adorkable. *hearts Callum*

And thirdly, apparently Jensen dabbles in a little song writing in his spare time. Oh god, he's both cute and thinky. Can the man stop being just so wonderful for a moment?

I'm warm now and I must be off to bed.

ETA: If anyone can point me in the direction of some Jack/Ianto icons, I'd be ever so grateful.

Oh my god it's October! How did that happen???

Son of Sports Night Chat was a fantastic success. Once again we had a small bad of very dedicated chatters who lasted a good 19 or so hours. As usual I ended up having to hie myself to bed after the first 12 or so hours, but catwalksalone, phoebesmum amongst others deserve a medal for, barring technological hiccups, lasting the whole distance.

That will probably be the last chat for this year, but I'm hoping that we can all get together again early next year to squee some more and maybe even get in a movie or two this time. Anyway I'll pose that question when next year comes, which, judging by how fast this year has gone, won't be very far away.

Meanwhile I must try and retrieve the disc missing fro my SN box sent. The disc that I didn't know was missing until we went to watch Thespis last night. I suspect it's in the DVD play at my friend's house. I'd lent him my box set and I stupidly failed to check that I had all the discs when I retrieved it last week. I'll drop by to get it tomorrow night, but things have the habit of going missing in that house so I'm hoping it hasn't fallen into some sort of black hole between then and now.

Tonight, however, will be a bit of a Callum fest. The lovely eskarinasmith graciously burnt some CRK tidbits to DVD for me, including Frank's Cock and Paris or Somewhere. This comes on top of the very impressive BSG promo photos of Callum that have been circulating around LJ the last few days. If you've not seen it, c_regalis has kindly provided some picspam!

On a complete unrelated topic, eBay WTF? I've been having a bit of a clean out, and had listed some things to see if I could make a little bit of cash out of them. Nothing terrible exciting, but apparently one of my listings violated eBay's 'keyword spamming rule' and they yanked the item. It would seem that the keywords I used would allow me to gain unfair advantage over other sellers and that is simply not on, despite the fact that you see listings from bulk sellers with all the current buzz words known to man everywhere. Well, stuff them. I've taken everything else down now and I'm going to give it all to one of my local opp shops. They need the money more than eBay does.

My voice is back, however my brain has gone the way of the fairies. I'm not sure what I handed in as my latest assignment for school, I just hope it's enough to pass the subject.

It's not been a good day for Australian cultural icons today. Firstly, 'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin died when he was stung through the heart by a stingray, and less notibly but just as importantly, children's author Colin Thiele died from heart failure at the age of 85. Vale Steve and Colin.

Ever had one of those days where everything is going along okay until you get home from yoga and suddenly you find yourself sobbing your heart out about the futile state of your life to your best friend on the phone? Yeah, well, that's was my day. Or at least my evening.

Okay, a few bits of fanish news to cheer me up.

Firstly, apparently Rob Lowe is going to appear in the final two episodes of The West Wing. Yay, Sam!

Secondly, Bradley Whitford has signed on to Aaron Sorkin's new series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Yay, Brad!

And thirdly, scriggle reports (with photographic evidence, no less) that Callum Keith Rennie will be appearing in the final episode of the current Battlestar Galactica series, with what looks like the possibility of more to come. Yay, Callum!

Okay, I need to go and wash my face and eat chocolate. At least some things never let me down.
