My mum and I are watching this hospital reality program and they're showing operations and people's insides all over the place, which is just gross. But my mum, a former surgical nurse of twenty years, is just sitting there smiling and looking all interested and amazed at the advances in medical technology while I'm cringing and telling her that I can't believe she used to do that sort of stuff for a living! No wonder I became a librarian.

And now Lee Tergesen is on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, only I can't help think he should be over on SVU with Christopher Meloni so they can have teh hawt chemistry together and start pashing in the middle of the interrogation scene.

Oh my god it's cold. It's supposed to be -3 tonight, and yesterday I made a mad dash to Retrovision to buy a column heater for my bedroom at mum's house just so I wouldn't die of frostbite while I was here. After fifteen years of nagging her she's finally seen the light and has started getting quotes for central heating, but until then that heater is my best friend in the whole world.
