It's strangely comforting to know that Red Tulip After Dinner Mints still come in those little paper packets.

***

Ever since I bought new coffee cups to replace my old mismatched ones, I seem to run out of cups more quickly. I've worked out that it's not because I have fewer cups, but because the old ones were such a jumble of sizes and colours that there always seemed to be more than there really was.

***

I've been very good this week and have gone to gym three times, but I didn't to go to yoga last night thanks to lady pains.

***

The niece now has a blue, pink and yellow striped hat to wear this winter. And my scarf is going great guns. I'm sure my knitting buzz won't last, but hopefully the nephew will also get a new hat out of it before it evaporates.

***

[livejournal.com profile] c_regalis and [livejournal.com profile] scriggle have both supplied us with some glorious CKR picspam this week. And despite the fact that he's played yet another bad guy in his new film (altogether, 'Oh, Callum!') he's looking too damn fine to be cross with him for long.

***

I went to pour myself a glass of wine tonight, got the bottle out of the fridge and then promptly forgot about it until I went into the kitchen a couple of hours later to make some hot milk.

*headdesk*

***

A reports that one of my Sports Night DVDs might be scratched.

*panics*

Fortunately they're still readily available on eBay, and yes I will buy another set if I have to. That's how much they mean to me!

***

I really should go to bed now.

[livejournal.com profile] lozenger8, you're insane and I love you, mostly because this is the best thing ever! And I'm sure Callum would agree with you and maybe even think twice about accepting his next serial killer role if he knew how much fun we make of him because of it.

*twirls you*

I had acupuncture for the very first time today. It was - weird. Good, but weird. Some of the needles I could hardly feel at all, but others, OMG, ow! J (my acupuncturist) said that was because the spots where she was placing them are all connected to my current emotional state and various parts of my chi that need mending or releasing or something. The ones she placed in my wrists hurt the most, and goddamn the one that went in near my liver was like, SHIT! But I'm feeling a lot more chipper than I have in a long time, so I'm definitely going for more sessions once I've finished my latest assignment. Of course the cup of tea and cake that we went out for afterward didn't hurt at all *g*

I spent a great deal of last night spoiling my self over the final season on The West Wing at Television Without Pity.

*clings to Leo*

However I wish they'd get a move on and screen it in Australia. Yes, I know they have to actually screen the final part of the fifth and the whole of the sixth seasons (no thanks to channel nein for dumping it halfway through number five) but I'm not sure why the ABC decided to start at season four when it bought the rights to the series. I guess they thought viewers would like to catch up on what had happened in the previous season, which is nice, but it seems like we're going to have to wait an absolute age before we get to see any new episodes.

*is impatient*

Why did I eat so much chocolate today? It's no wonder I'm still getting pimples.

ETA: The Dresden Dolls are programming Rage tonight and they're playing the most fabulous selection of 80's music. So far they've played Peter Gabriel, Adam and the Ants (were they always that gay?) Bananarama, Cyndi Lauper, Pat Bennetar, and now A-Ha are asking if I'd like to take them on. I was going to go to bed, but maybe I'll just stay up a little longer...
