Well, Callum Keith Rennie was on my TV for, like, twenty minutes, but then the inevitable happened, and, well, you know the rest. Oh well, at least I have another of his Da Vinci's Inquest episodes to look forward to at midnight. And [livejournal.com profile] china_shop has been spamming her own flist with teh hot comment porn, so I can also revel in the delightful image of Ray and Fraser getting it on.

And in news that possibly comes as no shock to anyone given it's slow decline in quality and ratings, and the recent death of one of it's most popular stars, NBC has announced that The West Wing has been cancelled. It's sad, but at the same time it's the right thing to do. The show hasn't been the same since Aaron Sorkin left, and the spark of the early seasons has pretty much died. Apparently the decision was made before John Spencer died, but at least they're going to let it go with dignity.

Maybe this means that Brad Whitford will be free to join Aaron's new show. With Malcolm in the Middle also finishing this year, his wife, Jane Kaczmarek, will be out of work and someone has to keep the kids in milk and cookies.

Meanwhile, am seething with jealousy that several people (well, two) on my flist got to see Josh Charles' new play in Chicago. And I can't even take comfort in my Sports Night DVDs because the BIL still has them. I guess I'll just have to watch Muppets from Space. Again.

And now I would like to wish both [livejournal.com profile] lovekeller and [livejournal.com profile] lordessrenegade a very Happy Birthday! I hope it's as fine as fine can be.

I'm Disproportionately Miffed that the post-theatre trauma means we didn't get a full, blow-by-blow account of the play and weeJosh's every move. I'm reasonable that way, and all heart. Maybe someone else will go and be able to give a full report. Dammit, they're my weeJosh watching proxy, it's as close as I'll ever get. And it's not as if I asked for an autograph, or anything ...

Sekritly, of course, I would like to see weeJosh in the new Sorkin show, but that clearly won't happen as by all accounts the two of them did Not Get On. Bet he finds a role for Joshua Malina, though, who leaves me cold.

Gosh, I'm in a mood! Probably should not LJ-comment when like this. Oh well, too late.

Josh Charles should make amends to all who suffered post-theatre trauma by ensuring that not only does he give his autograph to various individuals for their unable-to-see-the-show friends, be he should also get a decent role in a decent movie and/or TV series that brings much joy to his fans.

*laughs at tag list*
Also, what's with CKR constantly being evil and then coming to a bad end? I'd like to see him make it to the end of a show without something bad happening to him for once.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: just for once I'd like to to see him play a guy who rescues puppies. Just once! Is that too much to ask?

Hee! I missed the first bit, but when I turned the tv on I could hear his voice and got all shivery. Why, yes! I am a sad fangirl. Also, he didn't strike me as evil, as just unpleasant enough that you're not supposed to mind him being bloodily dismembered. Well, I'm sorry. I DID mind. *g*

OMG they killed Callum! The Bastards!!

I taped the episode and am keeping it. It's on the same cassette as Flesh and Bone. I'll probably never watch it again, but if I feel the need to see Callum get killed twice that's the tape I'll reach for.

*sporks evil creature for killing Callum*

BW and JK got their jobs at the same time, and lost them at the same time. However, in the 7 year period, they've no doubt made enough to set up college funds for their kids.
