OMG, spaghetti and meatballs. So filling AND so yummy!
Remember how last weekend I was bemoaning the fact that I'd run out of West Wing episodes to watch because I'd finished season one and seasons two-five were with my sister in the old home town? Well N, being a die-hard Sorkin fan herself, took great pity on me and had seasons two, three and four expressed posted to Melbourne so I would have something to watch over the weekend. Isn't she the best sister ever!?
Speaking of things to watch, I recently renewed my academic subscription to The Age, whereby for thirty dollars I get to pick the newspaper up for free from the campus newsagent weekdays and have it home delivered on the weekends until the end of November. Pretty good considering it's $1.40 a pop these days and over $2.00 on weekends. Anyhoo, as a 'valued customer' I get this email the other day saying that with my subscription I'm eligible for a one months' free trial of Quickflix, a Netflix-style DVD delivery service. Why not, says I, so I now have DVDs wending their way to me in the mail! I probably won't go beyond the freebie, but who's to say no to free DVDs delivered to my door? And it also means I borrow
Devour without having to shell out actual money at my usual video library to watch Jensen look hot in a crappy movie.
*sigh*
The things we do for fandom.
Speaking of fandom, a wee article about Josh Charles and his new TV series turned up on
sportsnightlink this morning, and it's quite a good read. I'd actually forgotten that I was a member of
sportsnightlink until today and I think that as part of my flist mini spring clean I will go through my comms and drop out of the ones that have had little or no activity of late, or else just litter my flist with posts on subjects in which I am no longer interested.
If only I could get this enthused about cleaning my flat. But at least I've done my dishes!
